WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
The Quality Assurance Officer supports the QA Manager in delivering effective quality assurance services across the manufacturing environment. The role contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, supports the implementation of quality controls and ensures that quality testing, internal controls and reporting processes are operating as intended.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Quality Standards
- Develop proficiency in Six Sigma principles to support improved efficiency, consistency and quality across production plants.
- Assist the QA Manager with the development of quality assurance plans, procedures and control sheets.
- Interpret and implement quality procedures across various production plants.
- Record, analyse and communicate statistical information to identify opportunities for plant improvement.
Quality Assurance
- Develop sampling procedures and clear instructions for recording and reporting quality data.
- Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
Quality Control
- Prepare clear technical and management reports that support quality decision-making.
- Record, analyse and distribute statistical information to highlight trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate quality non-conformances and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Quality Inspection
- Document internal quality audits and related quality assurance activities accurately and timeously.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Qualifications
- Degree in Quality, Statistics, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Experience
- At least three years' demonstrated experience in a quality assurance role or relevant field.
- Six Sigma certification or proven exposure to Six Sigma principles.
- Project management experience or exposure to structured improvement projects.
