ROLE IMPACT
Omnia Agriculture is looking for a Plant Operator to support the safe production, loading, and offloading of fertiliser products and raw materials. The role requires a hands-on individual with chemical production experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to perform administrative and computer-related tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure full compliance with SHEQ, safety, environmental and site security requirements.
- Operate plant equipment to produce and load liquid fertiliser.
- Offload raw materials and safely handle N-Gas.
- Perform in-process quality checks and follow testing procedures.
- Operate and monitor production-related computer systems.
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
- Maintain housekeeping standards within the plant.
- Assist with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance activities.
- Participate in off-season maintenance projects.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Matric with Mathematics and Science
- NQF 4 or Chemical Operations qualification (advantageous)
Experience
- 2–3 years' experience in a chemical production environment
- Computer literacy
