Overview

Omnia's Agriculture division, the market leader in Southern Africa, comprises Omnia Fertilizer and Omnia Specialties. The division produces granular, liquid and speciality fertilizers for a broad customer base of farmers, cooperatives and wholesalers throughout Southern and East Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Brazil.

The division is expanding its influence in Europe, South America and Asia, where it is increasing its sales of speciality products. The Omnia Agriculture division's range
of specialised products and services are encompassed by its unique Nutriology®
offering, which assists customers to optimise crop yield and quality.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Provide professional fertilisation and agronomic advice to farming enterprises.
  • Provide strategic support to Omnia representatives/agents with regard to products and recommendations.
  • Build and manage fruitful and sustainable relationships with clients.
  • Attend to and resolve customer queries.
  • Drive sales and marketing of products through effective relationship management and technical proficiency.
  • Work closely with other Omnia functions and business units


WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Qualifications

  • Completed or in final year of a BSc (Agric) with Soil Science, Agronomy, Horticulture or Plant Sciences.

Experience

  • 0–2 years' work experience in a
    similar role.


KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Assist with crop monitoring.
  • Draw samples (leaf, soil, water).
  • Draw precise samples on a grid basis.
  • Calibrate irrigation systems.
  • Calibrate and maintain application equipment.
  • Knowledge of crops and practical cropping systems.
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
