WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

The Dangerous Goods Driver is responsible for the safe transportation, handling, and delivery of equipment and Anhydrous Ammonia in compliance with all safety, security, and environmental standards. The role requires independent working capability within a team environment, accurate completion of administrative duties, and a strong commitment to safety, service excellence, and operational discipline.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Transportation & Handling

  • Safely transport and deliver Anhydrous Ammonia and related equipment.
  • Offload NH equipment and Anhydrous Ammonia in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Handle Anhydrous Ammonia safely and responsibly at all times.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment in line with best practices and legal requirements.

Safety, Health & Environmental Compliance

  • Comply fully with all safety, site security, environmental, and SHEQ policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to dangerous goods regulations and company operating standards.
  • Participate in preventative maintenance, inspections, and safety checks.
  • Support off-season and scheduled maintenance activities.

Administration & Reporting

  • Complete and submit all required documentation accurately and timeously.
  • Maintain records related to deliveries, inspections, and operational activities.
  • Report incidents, deviations, or equipment issues promptly.

Teamwork & Operational Support

  • Work effectively as part of a team while maintaining the ability to operate independently.
  • Support operational requirements as directed by management.
  • Maintain a professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • Code EC Driver's Licence
  • Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)

Experience

  • 2–3 years' experience transporting and handling dangerous goods
  • Experience with Anhydrous Ammonia handling will be an advantage
